    Spanish Mauser Model 1892/93 Rifle Bayonet by Simson & Co of Suhl w/Scabbard
    This is a Spanish refurbished Model 1892/93 for the Span. M1893 Mauser rifle. The originals had the grips secured with domed rivets, the Spaniards replaced these with screw bolts during refurb., when new grip scales were added. If you look closely at the top spine of the grip scales, you might see a number on each one. This was the year they replaced the grips, ie: if there is 2 on the left grip and a 9 on the right one, then they were replaced in 1929.
